Three online business myths busted!

I am here to bust a few myths about making it online as serious online business owners. Working online or earning an income from an online business is not impossible, if you’re expecting me to say that, you’re wrong. After all, I AM making money online and I would only be saying I am a big fat failure is I said that online businesses are load of….well, a bunch of lies. They’re not.

It’s possible to find an income online, keep a family afloat, feed children, live luxurious lives online. With the growth of the Internet, anything is possible…so, why not making money? In fact, with just the Internet (albeit, a telephone line, a modem and a computer), you can literally not move anything aside from your fingers and make money every single month! And happily too.

The only problem is that a lot of people are jumping into the online bandwagon expecting to make money the next week, the next month or the next three months. The ludicrous claims by unscrupulous netpreneurs who claims that they can help people may tons of money (along the lines of six figure incomes) instantly doesn’t help much either! Oh, I’ve had my fair share of mistakes. Took in and lapped everything up, swallowed hook, line and sinker a couple of times. I am sure there are many successful netpreneurs today who would admit that they fell for quite a few scams themselves before and LEARNT FROM IT.

Well, here are a couple of online business facts for you to digest:-

1. There is no instant money on the Internet
Now, think about it, on the Internet, everyone is faceless. You don’t know the seller, can’t see the seller, can’t even hear him/her and the only way you know that POSSIBLY someone human is behind all of this is the fact that your email was answered. As an online shopper, would you part with a single precious dime for anything that they say they can deliver without proof? Without testimony that this business is legitimate and won’t run away with your money the moment you click the ‘pay now’ button?

Nothing. There’s absolutely nothing that guarantees you that the business is legitimate. There’s nothing to assure you that they’re send you whatever they say they’ll send you. So, it’s a business that is loosely based on trust, recommendations from others, honesty and professionalism. And believe you me, to build the kind of reputation for your online business will not take hours. It may take even years!

2. A website takes work
With a website, yes, you have a shop online that many people from all around can visit and buy stuff from. But your domain name and the visibility of your website plays a huge role in the success of your online business. how do they find you if you don’t advertise – and free advertising is possible. The problem is doing it and waiting for IT to happen, to hit your website and to bring willing-top-pay customers to you.

That’s where search engines come into play. You have work hard to helping search engines and directories index your website. Even when you’ve submitted your website URL to all the search engines you know, it’ll take months for them to even list your website. And then there’s the issue of ranking. There are millions upon millions of sites, what makes you think they would want to list YOUR website as the top 10 or top 30 websites for your favorite keywords?

Getting to the top of search engines take work and some ingenious planning. While it’s possible, it takes time.

3. Recommend a friend online business
Some viral marketing businesses DO work – this I have to say and they work pretty quickly too. But the fizzle out really quickly too. So, the moment you’ve made your money, like gambling, you have to look for a new one. Not much consistency and reliability there, is there?

The wonderful thing about these viral marketing businesses is that if you want to make a huge chunk of money one time off to start a business or pay off a loan or something, you could try this one out. To feed your kids from month to month, you might want to find something more consistent.

A beginner’s Guide To Making Money Online

You’re probably reading this because you want to make money online. You are fairly new to this, so you want some assistance. Well, you’re reading the right article. I will attempt to show you the basics on how to start an online money-making venture as quickly as possible.

The internet, through its sheer size, can be a bit overwhelming for a newcomer especially as there are so many different types of lucrative opportunities out there.

Follow these simple steps to get started.

STEP 1: Understand how money is made on the internet

In its simplest form, money can be made on the internet in roughly three ways:

By setting up your own web site

A web site can be an ideal way to make money online. However, it should be pointed out that you have to be prepared to put in a lot of hard work and have a great deal of patience. Your web site can make money by you offering a product or service on it or by earning advertising revenue or both. You can sell just about anything on a web site but it is recommended that you start with items that are instantly downloadable like software or ebooks. This spares you the agony and extra work of having to specially ship physical items around the world.

You will start by choosing a domain name, registering it and hosting your site. You need to design a site to suit your needs and what you have to sell. You can use the services of a web designer to do this for you or if you are the creative sort with  reasonable computer knowledge and some good common sense, you could do this yourself –it’s not that difficult!

You will also need the ability to accept credit card payments from your customers. This has become reasonably easy to do these days by simply making use of a third party processor. Search for these on the search engines. You then need to market your web site either by way of paid ads or by using good Seo (search engine optimization) techniques to get your site ranked well in the search engines.

An alternate method of making money with a web site is by offering free, useful and quality content that appeals to users. Once you have built up a decent amount of regular visitors, you host Google Adsense ads. Google will pay you a commission on all their ads that are clicked on your site. You can also offer paid advertising to other web sites on your own by way of text or banner ads.

By doing some sort of online work for a company

There are numerous genuine companies out there that offer part time work to ordinary individuals. You can find research work, taking of surveys, data capturing, typing, etc. You can source these companies by searching for them on the search engines.

By participating in affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are popular with work-at-homers. An affiliate program is simply an advertising/marketing program run by company/web site in which they get members to refer visitors to their site. Members are paid per visitor or per sign-up or a combination of both. Most affiliate programs are free to join and the company will provide you with marketing/advertising aids in the form of text ads, sales copy, banners, etc to use. It is quite alright for you to participate in more that one affiliate program at the same time – this greatly increases your chance of success. Incidentally, affiliate activities create a great deal of internet traffic. To further increase your chance of success with affiliate programs, only join established companies that offer well respected and popular products or services.

STEP 2: Decide what you feel comfortable with

Now that you have a brief idea on the most popular money-making methods, you need to decide which one appeals to you. Once you have, feel free to do more research in that area and try to get as much information as possible. Play around with a few ideas until you are sure what you want to do.

STEP 3: Finding the right opportunity

Once you’ve decided on what you’d like to do, you now need to find the right opportunity. If you’ve decided to start your own web site, you need to determine what it’s going to be about. It’s best to base it upon something you have a fair knowledge of or are passionate about. If you’ve decided to take the affiliate route or to do online work for a  company, make sure you are dealing with a reputable company that pays promptly. Use the search engines to find possible companies, then email these companies with any questions you have. Ask for references (people who are doing work for this company) and contact these people about their experiences.

Following these simple steps should put you on the right track very quickly.

5 Steps To A Successful Internet Business

Here are a  5 simple steps to creating your own successful online business

STEP 1. Find something you feel is a good business opportunity. You can scour the Internet for all sorts of different business ideas and opportunities. Doing a search on any search engine with the keywords Work At Home, Business Opportunities, Home Based Business, Affiliate Programs, Make Money Online, etc., will produce 1000’s of different search results. Affiliate programs are THE ABSOLUTE BEST business opportunities out there because the ONLY thing you need to do to run your Internet business is to market your affiliate link. With a traditional business you must deal with inventory, storage, packing, shipping, complaints, returns, phone calls, emails, checks and credit cards just to name a few! Not so with affiliate programs, once someone has clicked on your affiliate link your only job is getting the next person to click on it. Sweet deal!

STEP 2. Get your own webpage. You want to put your Internet business on a webpage of your own. A webpage is like a store front. It projects respect to your business and who you are. Think about it. Do you feel the same about buying from a vendor on the street as you do about buying from a person in a store? They’re both vendors, but the store gives you a certain feeling about the person you are buying from that a street vendor just can’t give you! Your webpage dose not have to be fancy. If you only have a brief description of what your webpage is about along with individual descriptions of your product or products people will respect that. If it is affiliate programs you have decided upon, simply put a BRIEF description of what is being offered along with your affiliate link. Do not disclose too much in your description because people might THINK they know what it is all about and not click on your link. You want to let your affiliate website do all the selling for you. These sites are professionally designed to maximize the number of people who buy or join so a brief description, just enough to spike their curiosity, is sufficient.

STEP 3. Get your own Blog and make one post a day. A Blog, short for, “Web Log,” is a great way to establish yourself as an authority figure on whatever topic you decide. As people return to read your daily articles, they will eventually come to view you as an authority on whatever your Blog is about. They will eventually develop confidence in what you are saying, and will begin to trust you. As a result some people will check out your webpage to see what you have to offer them, and people tend to buy more from people they know and trust. Their confidence in you will be an additional factor that will compel people to buy from you. There are many places online that will host and let you set up your Blog for free.

STEP 4. Put Cost-Per-Click(CPC) advertising such as Google AdSense on your website. Having Cost-Per-Click advertising on your website is a way to earn additional income that can be VERY substantial. Most people who visit your website will not buy from you. If people are going to leave your website, wouldn’t you rather them leave through a link on your website that will pay you money every time someone clicks on it? Google makes putting their AdSense on your website E-A-S-Y! The ads are relevant to the content of your website. Google can even put its AdSense on your Blog as we’ll.

STEP 5. Write and submit articles to article submission sites. This is the most important advice you need to know. This is how you will get FREE advertising! People are searching the internet for free information. When you submit your articles online, the search engines will eventually find them and will spider every word. When people do a search using keywords or phrases that are in your articles, they will turn up in the search results, so be sure to insert highly searched for keywords and phrases into your articles! You will need to include at the bottom of all your articles your bio. Your bio will contain a brief description about who you are along with a link to your website. It might read for instance [ John Doe is the owner of yoursite.com. John helps people to work at home using various business opportunities that include affiliate programs. If you desire your own home based business visit http://www.yoursite.com] The more articles you write and submit, the higher the chances are of your articles keywords and phrases showing up on search results. The more links you have pointing back to your website, the higher your websites page rank with the search engines will be, meaning the higher up on the search results will your article turn up, so don’t stop writing and submitting articles! I do want to stress however, quality over quantity. Take your time and check your spelling, grammar, punctuation, sentence structure, etc. No one will take what you have to say seriously if you don’t write correctly.

So there you have it! Having a successful internet business is simply a matter of understanding how things work, and applying that knowledge. It dose not take any special skill or any great intelligence.  If you follow these five steps, you cannot fail. The most important thing, as with anything in life, is persistence. Continue following steps three and five and watch your internet business grow!

To your continued online success

Tips On Start A Internet Marketing Business

All online marketing business, makes planning a difficult proposition. Remember, when you launch business, there may not be profits forthcoming, and because of this should you and your business should be on a low profile. But then it is also unique to internet marketing business to see sudden profits coming over, which can also bring in more headaches than you can handle. Since online business has its own peculiarities, you should think of future and plan your business in a realistic manner. Here are a few tips.

Tip #1: Keep away your business right from the word go, from legal problems that may arise. As simple as it is to handle the business online, the slippery ground on the web should not be forgotten. When you work as a traditional corporate entity, you can escape certain liabilities legally, though this demands accounting procedures. Your business will be called upon to keep details of employees payroll. You will be called upon to file distinct income tax details with state as well as federal authorities, which can be expensive and full of complications.

To get over these, you should function as a limited liability company (LLC), which provides a shield against possible legal wrangling, very much akin to a corporate house. When the owner of the business is a single person, tax returns need not be filed separately for the company, as the personal income tax filing would be sufficient, thus saving time and energy apart from money for you, especially when income is meager.

Tip #2: You can become a corporate entity when your business starts getting you profits. To avoid Medicate and social security taxes, you could become a S-corporation, but if you are classified as a C-corporation you will still continue to avail certain tax benefits.

Tip #3: Internet marketing accounts are easy to handle and maintain. Your affiliates would have kept these details and they will take care of a majority of accounting work. Since both affiliates and the banks have your transactions on their websites, you can just copy them on to your books. Is it not easy?

Tip #4: Eventually you should look for a big profit. This calls for looking ahead, and planning to handle such profits. You can plan with foresight to stash a good part of the profits into pension plans, ensuring your money is legally safe.

While your fiscal consultants can provide you details of options, the very knowledge that there is a legal possibility of keeping away a portion of gains into pension plans, is certainly welcome. Your spouse also can be shown as an employee and stash away up to anything like hundred-thousand dollars in her account in pension plans. Good, isnt it?

Why do we suggest these things: Because, internet marketing business is very shaky, in the sense the success may not continue for long and can be hard to reach. Would you regret storing away some money for those days when you are down so that you are not out!

When you launch a new internet marketing business, planning is most difficult. We’ve got the info on how to start  a successful internet marketing business.
